“I had a good experience with this company for the most part. They were priced reasonably in comparison to other vendors I researched. There were several times where the communication was a bit vague and the payment experience was not very clear. The online portal used for payment was not working when I was trying to place the deposit. When I finally was able to get the portal to work, it charged me the full amount, which was unexpected. Upon reaching out immediately to the wedding coordinator at Eivan's, I was ghosted. I reached out to the accounting department and they responded with a generic response telling me they cannot guarantee the refund and paying it over time would cost more. I opted to just leave it alone for my own sanity. I reviewed the day of the wedding with my photographer only and our expectations. I received no contact from the videographer. They were plenty friendly the day of the wedding and handled a lot of the very demanding family members well. Both showed up dressed very casually, which was not my favorite, especially since they both made it into portions of my video. I also learned later that despite buying them 150 plated meals they were allowed to asked for payment for tolls and parking. I realize now it was in the fine print, so please make sure you very carefully read contracts prior to signing them. I am not upset by the experience, but I understand why this company was cheaper than others. If others asked for a recommendation, I would not turn them away from Eivan's, but if you are on a budget and have your expectations set accordingly, they will get the job done.”

We ended up with a great balance of great cost and services that met our needs. Rob was equally great during the contracting process since we wanted a few updates to their standard contract. Rob then lined up Kev the DJ and Kev was fantastic! We had a couple of meetings to work out the music we wanted Kev to play, and he provided really good suggestions on how best to organize the music. On the day of the wedding Kev joined us at our hotel before the wedding for a quick rehearsal of the ceremony. At the wedding Kev brought incredible energy as the MC and kept the music flowing perfectly as the DJ. Kev was so great sometimes I was hanging out with him. Suffice it to say that we highly recommend Second Song as your first choice to DJ your wedding or another event!”

He let us give him a solidified list of songs along with our full wedding vibe (funky/disco). Kaleb understood the assignment. He played all of the songs we really wanted to hear while also finding some other songs that fit our vibes to a T....also made sure he didn't play songs we didn't want to hear. We asked him if he could give our wedding guests certain queue's and guide the wedding on the mic...the day before, we even asked him to say a few things word for word on the microphone. I'm amazed by how good the lighting was in most of the photos, even in some rooms at the church that weren't as well lit. There are a few photos I wish had been full body rather than cut off at the ankles, oh well. At the end of the night when our coverage had ended before the wedding did, they waited till the end of a song before saying goodbye instead of interrupting, which we greatly appreciated.”

He was such a pleasure to meet with ahead of time and asked us tons of questions to really understand our vision for the evening. He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. “When we started planning our wedding, finding the perfect venue felt overwhelming. That’s where Mostest came in and completely saved the day. Thanks to their Venue Match service, we found our dream spot—the Prospect Park Boathouse. It was exactly what we envisioned: beautiful, intimate, and full of charm. Mostest made the process so easy by narrowing down options based on our style and budget, which saved us hours of research and back-and-forth on quotes. My favorite part of the service was contract review, where they breakdown each line of the contract so nothing surprised us. We also used their Day-of Coordination, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when they recommended a Junior Coordinator too. Our wedding had two locations—ceremony and reception—and having a point person at each site was a total game-changer, so I'm glad they guided us. It meant everything ran smoothly, and I didn’t get bombarded with questions or last-minute details. The Junior Coordinator handled all the logistics at the ceremony while the lead coordinator managed things at the reception. If your budget allows it, splurge for this add on for sure. “If we could give The Hook Club more stars, we would! Let me get my one gripe out of the way at the top here: I’m pretty sure the only reason my now husband agreed to a wedding celebration was to hire The Hook Club after seeing them at a friend’s wedding before we met. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”

We had him play acoustically for before our ceremony, during our ceremony, and at the cocktail hour. He even learned a song especially for the wedding party processional that we requested. “Bakers Ranch is a team of informed wedding professionals who are experts in the unique art of weddings. Our wedding day felt like pure magic, and it is truly thanks to the incredible team at this wedding venue. Our guests were in awe of the space, and we received so many compliments regarding the décor, drinks, food, photographer and overall experience. My husband and I put a lot of time and research into finding the right wedding venue for us, and we walked away from our wedding day with a feeling of pride for our selection, and gratitude for the support we received. We looked at venues across three states. It was a little overwhelming and emotional, knowing that the venue would dictate so much of our time as an engaged couple and ultimately, our one wedding day. Bakers Ranch immediately stood out to us, it was an all-inclusive wedding venue that would eliminate some stress of planning. It had a gorgeous green backdrop of ancient oaks and rich foliage. It had Jeremy, a wedding planner that was calm, reassuring, honest and unlike any wedding professional we had met in our search. We booked the first available Saturday the following year almost immediately. I was also an extremely detail-oriented bride, straight down to the plates, the handmade table cards, and a personal note for each attendee. But it was all perfect. The decor, the flowers, the cocktails, the food, the week before, the day before, the day of, were all a dream. Everything that I communicated was heard. The vision that I had planned for was achieved. It was even better than what we could have imagined. We are extremely grateful to Baker’s Ranch for their incredible work.”

He double-checked our chosen songs and made suggestions if he thought one of them wouldn't work. He really brought the party to the wedding day! Our MC Matt was top-notch. He made sure that he had everyone's names correct, that our timeline was on schedule, and was able to work on his feet when something didn't happen exactly in the timeline. He was professional and kind and brought the energy to the wedding day! This team was incredible and made our wedding a night we will never forget!! Pictures don't capture just how much fun we had! The quality of their work was great - the florals looked beautiful, especially from a distance, and they were competitively priced. However, their shipping turnaround time was awful, with the flowers due back just 2 days after the wedding. This is more of a business than a vendor, so don't expect a lot of personalized care. While I ordered more florals than I ended up needing, it was worth it to have the full, lush look I was going for on our special day.”

“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”
